This button not only works with many colors , but it is strong. I applied the polymer clay as a strong laminate over a metal shaft button. You get the durable color of polymer (where paint would chip or wear) and the extra security of the metal shaft where you need it.
I used dark plum, medium turquoise and white in wavy streaks that remind me of woodgrain or driftwood but with much more color. The top is slightly domed for a comfortable feel, and I wet-sanded this one so smooth it feels something like the sheen of satin.
This button measures approximately 1" diameter by not quite 1/4" thick. A buttonhole should be 1-1/8" wide to accommodate this button. (5mm Thick x 25mm, 28mm Buttonhole Length) (Photo onscreen is not actual size.)
